Repair Process
The insurance company has told me to get 2 or 3 estimates. Do I have to do that?
No. You are only required to get one estimate, and that should be from your shop of choice.
How long will it take you to repair my car?
During your initial visit, we will provide you with a preliminary estimate and approximate time to repair the vehicle. If hidden damage is found, you will be informed immediately of a revised estimate and repair time.
Can an insurance company make me take my vehicle to a certain repair shop?
Absolutely not! The choice of shop is always yours, regardless of insurance company "suggestions" or "demands" of where to have your vehicle repaired.
Do I need to pay a deductible, and if so, who do I pay it to?
Your deductible is determined by your insurance policy, so you’ll need to ask your insurance agent to verify the amount required. Deductible payments should be made to Athens Paint and Body. If another party’s insurance company is paying for your repairs, you are not subject to a deductible.
Will the insurance company cover the cost of a rental car?
If you have rental coverage in your insurance policy, the insurer will pay the cost of a rental subject to the limits set by your policy.
